I guess it's a YEMV deal. I was approved for a Barclays card in August of 2013. Right after that I got 13 cards with over 19K approved with no problem from Barclays. I run around 500-1000 thru the card each month and PIF weekly.
Wow that is very impressive. Thank you for the input. Maybe I'll wait until the four month mark since I'm hearing 50/50

I've come to the conclusion that they (understandably) don't like for you to open a bunch of new accounts and then rack up large balances. I think if you don't do this, you likely won't hear from them.

It hasn't even been a month since my approval for Barclays on 12/13. If I app for chevron will they close my account? Should I be worried? Has anyone apped after being accepted for Barclays?Hello Mads8! Welcome to the forums. Barclays does like to see no new inqs and accounts after opening an account with them... especially if you were border line approval to begin with. If you just want the Chevron as opposed to need it.. why not wait? If you have been seeking credit in the last 6 months and you were just recently approved for their card.. I'd refrain from apping anything new for the next 6 months. Just my humble advice. I hope this helps.
+1
Well I apped for Visa...& only got the Chevron card @ 500.00 I am going to call the backdoor number and see if they can up my limit before the card even gets here. By the way, it is only 10 cents off per gallon for 60 days. LAME.
