So I woke up this morning and logged onto my Chase account to pay some bills like rent and utilities for the month. Saw that my Chase Sapphire Preferred was approved with a $5000 CL! I had applied for the card two weeks ago and last week they sent me a paper letter asking to request additional info (which I faxed back) - then logged in today and had it on my account! I'm kind of ecstatic and happy right now and can't wait for it to come in.
I'm really surprised they gave it to me with no recon whatsoever though,
- I'm in undergrad college and work full time
- First card was with Wells Fargo, $1000CL and upped to $1500CL
- Two student loans, $5500 total but haven't started paying back b/c I'm still in college
- Recently approved the week before for a Chase Slate (1000), AMEX BCE (1000) and a Chevron Gas Card (500/charge card)
- 710-730 credit score between the three credit unions
I'm so happy right now ![]()

Sent me a letter and a form just had to fill out the things and fax it back.
They just double checked my SSN, DOB, Phone and also asked for my mother's maiden name, annual income, my source of income, my employer, time at job, whether I rent or own my residence, how long I've been at my current residence and how much my monthly rent was.
Wasn't anything too unreasonable.

Multiple reports today of people getting CSP without previous $5,000 limits. Hmmm....

Congrats! Does anyone know how long it takes for the 40000 points to post to your account once you reach the $3k?

Congrats! you're going to love this card! I was told that the points would post on the first statement after hitting the spend.
I have only had mine 2 weeks or so and have racked up almost 60k points including the bonus, the UR mall is pretty awesome for earning points.
