Approved for Freedom, can I get a 2nd w/EB?

Got approved last weekend for $5,000 and took advantage of the $150 checking account offer. If I got a second card (used only for monthly bills) would that 2nd card be elgible for the exclusive benefits if i link it to the same checking account as my first?

you dont get another $150 for opening up another checking account. you would have to wait 6 months after the acount is closed  to get another $150

Re: Approved for Freedom, can I get a 2nd w/EB?

I want 1 card for monthly bills and the other for everyday spending, it helps me keep things more organized. I might call Chase to see if I can split my credit limit between 2 cards. I had the perfect setup with USAA but Chase's Freedom w/EB is way too good to pass up.

Use your Discover for monthly bills (If you mean utilities and such).

It gives you 2% cashback for that.

Re: Approved for Freedom, can I get a 2nd w/EB?

I've read of several people who have two Chase Freedom cards, usually one Visa and the other MC. If you were able to get that second Freedom card I don't see why you couldn't sign both up for Chase Exclusives (10 & 10 bonus). Another advantage of having two Freedom cards is that it allows you to effectively double the $1,500 cap on 5% quarterly bonus categories.
