Approved for USAA Amex and plat MC , orchard still wont give cli

I was approved yesterday for both cards with 4k limits. I have some old baddies from about 6 yrs ago. They pulled EQ. I know the baddies are on that report. So today i called to cancel my orchard card since the AF is due next month. They sent me to retention and said they would waive the annual fee so i said id keep it. they softed my report and still wouldnt budge from the $320 CL. How can i get two cards at 4k with 15% interest but they wont give me even 10 bucks on a card with a crazy interest rate that im not even sure what it is. I havent used the card since Jan. I only didnt cancel it since i didnt have to pay for it for this year. I had thought i have read on here that USAA was a conservative lender? i was suprised at the credit limit really, my highest card before those 2 is barclays at 2k.

USAA gives good credit limits, but I have never seen them top NFCU on first time limits.  Congrats, and keep the other card open as long as there is no AF; your age will just grow!

Thanks everyone. I don't think I'm eligible for nfcu. I'm separated from USAF not active. I thinks would need to be a retiree or active to join.

Congrats! USAA is very nice to its members. My husband and I were checking them out before I knew that joey was still a member of nfcu from his military days.
