Those big CL sound nice, however I would not buy anything there... I need to increase my utilization this month, but the new account would hurt me more than help me...
Just got an engagement ring from there and I got a 628 EQ and 635 TU. Couple of CapOne with $1000 limit, Amazon with $650. Got approved for $2800 which shocked me so it's easy to get. I got 2 COs from 2008 paid, 2 COs from 2007 not paid and State Lien paid and released from 08. 52k income.
Zales is also easy to get financing, and you can usually haggle price with them to get a significant discount. Kays, not so much.
I would apply online, then negotiate in store. When asked for payment, give them your account number.
Kays was one of the cards I acquired during my 2010 spree - easy to get..? Yes. Does it show an avail balance on your CR? Yes, But if I had it to do again I'd pass on them. I'm not fond of the 're-qualifying' factor they use every year to 'see' if you are still approved for the 'loan' based on the fact that they are not a 'true' revolving account - so I'd say go the gift card route as mentioned before with them. And just wait on a 'real' revolver that will work for you (i.e. Points, cash back etc) to use on things like this.
Never had to 're-qualify' after a year with no use on any of my other cards.... 'just sayin'

That's interesting and I don't think I would like that either!
I'm headed to the store this saturday...(more like dragged there...)
I'll give you guys a heads up at to the pain of getting this card. Right now I"m about 670's.
