No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
If it has a VISA, MC, or AMEX logo, then it is a "real" credit card. The co-branding usually comes with some sort of extra points or perks with that merchant/company/airline/hotel.
A true "store card" has only one place it can be used: at that store, and perhaps one or two other related brands, but no where else.

+1.
For example, the Gap Visa is a cobranded bankcard or major CC and can be used anywhere that accepts Visa. The Gap Store card does not have the Visa logo and can only be used at stores in the Gap family (Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, etc).
True store cards can only be used at one place. For example, the Victoria's Secret card or Pottery Barn.
