I called Cap1 just now, to find out what day of the month they report my cc activity to the CRA's.
Once she told me that info, she mentioned if I'd be interested in any offers they have going. Well of course! She said you can EITHER have a cl increase of $500, OR a rate decrease to 16.9%(I'm currently at default rate of 29.24, because of baddies from 2 and 3 years ago...all 30 day lates...that was when I was in a credit coma).
I took the CLI....on BOTH cards (have 2 cards with them). She said "done. congrats. You'll get a confirmation letter going out next few days....And be sure to call next month to take advantage of the rate decrease offer!"
$1,000 cli on 2 cards with just a simple phone call, and asking for it. PLUS, happy thoughts for calling back next month.
Now all of that is due because of the info I've learned here, since I've been here. Paying on time, EVERY time, PLUS keeping the utils down has enabled me to do this. Thank you myFiCO!
Same here VL! I did have 3 cc's with them. they combined the lower limit cc, with higher limit, PLUS did away with the AF, AND it raised my CL on the bigger limit one. Did that last month. plus one less cc bill to fret over. LOL
Oh! You better believe I did Timothy! Even tried to negotiate with her. According to her, only 1 request allowed, when 2 are offered. She could have been blowing smoke, but my TL is so delicate, I'm not about to rock the boat. If that makes sense.
I'm happy with what I got. Besides, the % rate decrease doesn't affect me much as I'm right at 2% util. And it's going to stay that way, on ALL my cc's
800-889-9939. Number of their account specialists department. Good people. Honestly? I think having it 4 months is a little premature. But someone else might have a different opinion. I've been told they don't grant credit limit increases, but review periodically and generate cli's automatically, if it's warranted. They've done that with me. With no notification. Just showed up one month on the bill. A happy surprise
