Re: Asking for an AMEX FR

Wow! Yeah I'll just wait five more months and try to get to a $24,000+ cl. Making sure to avoid $25k + and a FR. Lol

Where does it say that?  I believe you, just asking.

They don't actually, but I was just trying trying to make a light jest.  I'm assuming they placed in the button, the last thing on the designer's mind was cardmembers testing it on a card with a hard limit.

Re: Asking for an AMEX FR

You do not get FR for requesting a 25K + CL. They may ask for documents including 4506t to support your request, but it is not the same as FR. They won't shut down all of your accounts and you don't have to provide the docs unless you want the CLI.

Re: Asking for an AMEX FR

Well isn't requesting a 4506t what happens in midst of a fr? Lol

Re: Asking for an AMEX FR

Yes, but what also happens is all of your accounts are suspended and you have to comply or have them all shut down. That is different than asking you to provide support for a CLI where you can choose whether to comply. It leads to considerable confusion using FR to refer to the latter. Newer forum members don't appreciate the difference.

Re: Asking for an AMEX FR

Yes, it is painless (providing you don't mind giving Amex your tax return transcripts).

And you can even be stupid!  I applied, got the request for my 4506T and sent it in.  For reasons I can't quite reconstruct, a few days later I went back on the site to see if there was some indication of progress, and ended up applying for the same CL.  In the mail I got another 4506T (with a new reference number).  At that stage I called in to make sure I wasn't messing up the process.  I was assured that they would just ignore the second.  And things worked out.
