Attempted Amex CL increase but found out they changed the rules....

Called and asked for a $4k increase over our current CL. Was advised by CSR that they no longer do CL increases every 30 days it is now 6 months. Asked for supervisor and explained why we wanted CL increase (for bt). He said he would try to override and would call back tomorrow. I have to say I was WAAAAY impressed by this dude, extremely polite and appearing to want to help us.

Guess they are getting tired of all the F/Rs they have been doing lately for excessive requests for CLIs.

Tht and some custies are probably telling them to stick the F/R and the card where the sun don't shine.

I've read all the posts about easy CLIs, but when I was approved the CSR advised to wait 3 months before requesting a CLI. So, that's what I'm planning on doing.

I got clarification on Amex's CLI policy change that went into effect a week ago. You are allowed to ask for a CLI 30 days after activation but all subsequent CLIs will require a 6 month wait.
Credit Profile -
FICO 08 Scores (11-08-2014): EQ 818, EX 817, TU 822
All three scores were 850. Lost points for not having an open installment TL. So, BE WARNED!!!!!
