i think by default it goes discover, if declined it defaults to store card, then if declined you get the thanks for playing letter.

Right again Ducky.  You cannot apply for the store card without first being considered for the Discover.  If you got the store, it would more than likely have said, 'We were unable to offer you the Discover at this time but your Walmart CC will arrive in X number of days'.  most do.

Forgot to add, never seen a 7-10 day message on a Wally World card that didn' result in close to a 150.00 limit...lol!

May I ask of the previous posters (or anyone else with with previous experiences) what types of scores are getting these responses from the WalMart card?

Eq  575

They pulled TU on me. I had a 637 with 2 old derogs. I got approved for the WalMart card with a $500 CL, but not the Discover, which is what I wanted.

Did you find out which card you got?  You should be ableto call nd find out.  Betcha its the Discover.

Actually, I did not, I noticed though the inquiry says GEMB/Walmart.   Maybe some posters can help.

I am too nervous to call.  I'm taking the card and running.  I keep watching SW to see if a new account  posts then I may know!

I know, I kinda feel bad.   Today, I went to WalMart and walked around the whole store, singing uh huh, uh huh, uh huh, bought some Cella's chocolate covered cherries and left.

I told my DB last night and he seemed a little tore up over it.  Definitely can't let my DS know.
