That's weird, isn't it? They generally go by address. So if you share the same address as the cardholder, or if there's a match of addresses in previous addresses, they'll do it this way. If you're just friends, etc, and you don't share any common info on your reports, it's going to get tougher. If the account doesn't show up on the AU's reports, the cardholder needs to call to ask what needs to be added so that the AU will show up.
