If I am a Authorized User on a family members credit card will I get my own card and use it as my own ? IM new to this so I really don't know much about these things

Depends on the card I suppose but 99% of the time yes, if not you might need to call for them to send you one.

Most companies hold the original cardholder liable for any and all purchases made by AUs. So be aware that if you drop the ball your family member will get the bill for it.
Some companies, like AMEX, hold additional cardmembers liable for their own purchases as well.
