Authorized user - BoA

Earlier today my wife added me as an authorized user on her BoA credit card, which has no lates in 10 years. Just got off the phone with BoA customer rep who told me that they don't report any info to authorized user's credit file. Is this accurate?

How does that work when BoA didn't ask for the social security number?

Ok, so why would the customer service rep say they don't report?
