Chase actually does fully backdate AU accounts to the original date opened, not date added.
AMEX is the only lender im aware of that dates an AU to the date they were added.
They did not do this for me when i was added on my wifes account. It started from the date I was added and the account was 8 years old.

Hello, I have a question for you. i'm looking into becoming an au with the chase card Saphire. I've seen they only report to CU's if I were to t live at the same address as that original card member has. Was that true in the case of your family member and friend.
