Authorized user on credit report (AMEX/CHASE)

Hi,

I know it is probably somewhere in the forum, but I would like yo know to current state of the AU reporting to the CRA's of AMEX and Chase.

1. Amex

Will they report the real open date or the open date of the primary card holder ?

2. Chase

Will they report the real open date or the open date of the primary card holder ?

They are not asking for the SSN of the AU . How will they report that ? e.g. If I would put my father in law as an AU on my card who has neither my address nor my last name, how would they find the right person ?

Amex BCP (65.000), CapOne Venture ($50.000), Chase Sapphire Reserve ($45.000), Citi Double Cash ($26.000), Wells Fargo Amex WorldPropel (25.000), Amex SPG (25.000), Barclay American Airlines (22.500), Citi AA (19.700), Chase Amazon (12.500), Apple Card (15.000) Chase Freedom (5.400), Chase Freedom Unlimited (3.000), CapOne Quicksilver ($5.000), Chase Ink Cash (10.000), Amex EveryDay (1.000),

Re: Authorized user on credit report (AMEX/CHASE)

Hi

I am an AU on AMEX Blue Cash and it reported all 3 credit bureaus posting the opening date of AU's card account. AMEX doesn't back date to Primary card holder's account opening date.

I am also an AU on DISCOVER & CITI and they do back date.

Re: Authorized user on credit report (AMEX/CHASE)

I'm an AU on my DH's Chase Slate and it backdated to the date he opened the card and not the date I was added. Yay! They didn't ask for my SSN either and we don't have the same last name. Yet they found me and it was on my CR within three days.
