Auto increase effect on manual increase....

Just got an auto increase on Discover a month ago of $800. New limit is $4800. If an auto increase is done, does this mean that a manual increase can not be requested?

From what I've been reading on here over the last couple weeks, it seems like you could still call in and request a manual review for a larger increase, not sure if that would cause a HP or SP though, which is always to be considered.

I imagine you could ask if/when you call in if it would be a HP or SP, that could help you decide =)

Just got approved with Discover. 4800 to 7300. Not bad........and the pull was soft.

BOA just increased me today from 1600 to 5000. Don't know if that pull was hard or soft (cause I did it online). Maybe should have called in.....

I got Discover 3 years ago. I got BOA 6 years ago. Funny thing is, I never asked once for a credit increase until now. Wish I would have over the years. Would have been at high limits with these cards by now.

Well better late than never....... So far I've gotten 4 card increases all in the same day!!!!..........

BOA online credit limit request s a hard on TU. I was increased that way last month my 123 from 1000 to 5000 and travel from 1500 to 4100 (same pull).

Started over because life happens.
I did it again even better this time. My highest score last time was 680
