Available Credit?

Hi, I had a cc with providian, which changed to wamu, which is now chase. The card was closed in September 08 for non payment. I've since made payments to bring it back up to date but the credit limit was still closed. I just logged on to the chase website to view my account and schedule my next online payment and I see this: Outstanding Balance $1,678.96 Pending Charges $0.00 Total Credit Limit $2,000.00 Available Credit $321.00 Last Statement Date 02/10/2009 Next Closing Date 03/10/2009 Balance Last Statement $1,938.96 To me, it appears that I have available credit of $321 which would mean my card is still open. Is this correct? I don't want to call and bring it to their attention in case they decide to close it. Should I call and say my card is damaged and I need a new one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Available Credit?

Same thing here.  It would be great if my account was reopened, as it's my oldest account.

Re: Available Credit?

I just called and was told that my card has been closed.. Chase's system just computes what available credit "would have been" if my line of credit was still open. I don't appreciate it.
