Re: Awesome Amex Platinum Customer Service!

My recently acquired Amex PRG has been and will continue to be my go to card for all/most purchases. They just seem to have the best service.

This is 99% my fault but I am kinda impressed with how Amex handled it, let me explain..

About a month ago I called in and asked which card I used the $200 Airline credit on (I have the regular Plat and the MB Plat) and I was told I had used the credit for the regular Platinum. So I put through 4x $50 Delta e-Gift cards (claiming they were baggage fees) and about a week later they were still not credited towards my account (but we had done it on my parents Plat cards and it got reimbursed no problem) so I called in and the rep told me it was being processed and I would see the credit in the next 2-4 weeks, fast forward until yesterday I called in again and said they still were not credited and I was told that the rep would contact her supervisor and have her manually do it. Again I called in today and I was finally told that it didn't go through because I used the travel credit for 2016 on my MB Plat card, I explained that I understood I should of manually checked from my side but I was dissapointed that I was told at least twice that I had already used the travel credit on the regular Plat card and because of the misinformation I was out $200, the rep put me on hold and when she came back she said her and her supervisor looked through the notes on my account(s) and they would issue a $200 credit as a one time courtesy for the inconvenience and the miscommunication.

I understand that I should of looked through my statements myself to see what card I used but its pretty cool of Amex to do this for me.. Just providing a datapoint for others out there.

That is why you pay them $450 AF..

That's what I was going to say erick!

Amex is the best, I literally have nothing bad to say about them. I have never had a bad experience.

Now.. I'm tempted to get this card..

How solid is a prequalified email with an RSVP code?

Why send me? I keep getting denied for a CLI on my BCE reasoning my low EX score.
