B of A, WaMu, & AMex Pre-Approval Question

Hello All,

Does anyone know which reports B of A, Wamu, & Amex soft-pulls for their pre-approval?  

I recently did HSBC and they hard pulled my EX report when applying for the card, but not sure which report they did a soft-pull on.

I know Amex does EX, however i am not too sure about the others.

I was doing the pre-approvals as well. To my understanding they are soft pulls. It doesn't effect your score and creditors cant see the inquires.
