BB&T 3 hard pulls in 1 day...

This is my first post.

I've applied and was approved for a BB&T Bright Card on 3-7-2015. I checked my Equifax report this morning and noticed that they did 3 hard pulls in one day.

Can I dispute 2 of the pulls with Equifax if BB&T doesn't have them removed?

3 seperate EQ pulls?

I'd call them first and ask why they did so many.

Yes, they did 3 separate pulls. My inquiries jumped from 2 to 5 overnight. I did call and talked with 3 CSR and not one of them was able to give a reason why.

Capital One does the same thing when apping for a card. they 3 tripple pull. and they are entitled to.

Yes I was approved, but this card is not worth 3 pulls.

Capital One pulls a report from each of the big 3, not 3 from the same bureau.

Triple pulls across all bureaus, not triple in 1 bureau as Op's case

So I just got off the phone with a Level 3 CSR and this is what she thinks happened. BB&T sometimes pulls from EQ, EX, & TU and since my TU & EX reports were frozen when I applied, she thinks the system just pulled 3 from EQ since it couldn't pull the other two. She said she'll call me back on Wednesday after the account has been setup and file a dispute with Equifax to have 2 pulls removed.

Sapingo - as others have mentioned, the triple pull is across 3 separate CRAs not 3 in a single CR. The OP stated 3 pulls in EQ.
