BB rewardzone who do I call

My one year is coming up in Oct for my BBRZMC.  I called the number on the back of the card, and got peggy who told me my AF can not be waived.  What number should I call for that.  I am going to try to either get a CL bump, it's at 500 now, I'd like at least 1K or waive the fee for a year or both.  Has anyone had any luck with that since Cap One took over?

To early to fight for AF if you ask me.  You probably need to wait until it bills, then ask to have it waived and reversed... if they say no, you probably will have the threaten to close... if they don't try to save you then the account would be closed and you should get credit back to account if within 30 days.

Cap1 is still not fully in control of the accounts... meaning they can't do really anything with them if i understand correctly.

and last but not lease, asking or getting CLI....  LOL

Hold your breath and see who passes out first!

Re: BB rewardzone who do I call

Ok, I guess I'll wait.  I was trying to be proactive.  I just got a 200 cli beginning of June for a total CL of 500, would like a bit more, but I'm more likely to close it if I don't get the waived AF.  It did it's job which was give me some positive account history.  It was my first card I have had in a long time, been throwing away the first premieres and credit one offers.  I actually got a merrick bank offer in the mail which I've thrown away.  If it weren't for this site I probably wouldn't have the cards I have now and would have a collection of sub-sub-prime cards with no positive outlook on my credit future.

Re: BB rewardzone who do I call

As stated you should wait for the AF to hit before you call.

I just called them last night with the number on the back of my card.
I have a crappy $300 CL and the $59 AF that actually hit back in May but was paid already. I called with the purpose of canceling my card and was transferred to the retention specialist. After stating the low CL, high interest, and high AF as reasons for canceling I was told a manual review was needed on my type of card for a CLI which would take a few days and if I wanted to go that route it would be a soft pull and my AF from back in may would be reversed if I kept it open. Since I have a $0 balance on that account they will mail me a check for $59, since it's credited as overpayment now.

So it does work if you call after, My AF was 3 months ago and I still got it credited, no CLI yet and not holding breath since I've called for a CLI back in July and was shot down. But at least I got my $59 back and just need to remember to cancel next May.

Re: BB rewardzone who do I call

I had my AF waived last week. However, I waited until it was billed, paid it and called for a waiver. I did threaten to close my account of course. I called the number listed on the back of my card. I had a CL over a month ago after having the card since 07/2010. They take their time with that.

Re: BB rewardzone who do I call

How does one qualify for an AF waiver? Is it out of customer courtesy? or what?

Re: BB rewardzone who do I call

Just call and asked to have it waived. It's at the discretion of the CSR.
