Re: BBR Discontinued New Info

The BBR, Better Balance Rewards, card had a $25 credit per quarter if you pay "more than the minimum." With an extra $5 credit if you have a BOFA bank account. The problem was that the "pay more than the minimum" was bypassed if the balance was less than the usual minimum ($25?). For example, it was a popular idea to set up an Amazon allowance to take out every month for $5 and have auto pay set up on the BBR so you dont have to do anything, and then get a $25 ($30) credit each quarter. Which you can have deposited in your bank. Even worse, DH once had a guy calling in upset because he accidently forgot to use one of his 7 BBR cards that month and wanted the quartly credit anyway. When DH looked, each account had had $0.25 charged each month for months.

The purpose of the card was to reward you for good paying habbits. On time, more than just the monthly minimum, etc. But people started using it for the free $100 ($120) a year. Thats why it was so popular.

As for the IIB, no info to give. Sorry. DH didn't know anything.
