Applied for the BCE last night and was denied. Called the RECON backdoor number, am going to fax info to them including my copy of EX which shows 65 pts higher than their report. She said they might do another hard pull.
We'll see what happens...
The score you have from Experian does not appear to be a FICO score, and that is what American Express uses. So the 65 point difference does not matter at all. Even if it did, if everything on the report is accurate there is no point in faxing it.

Already sent..Oh well live , learn and read the forum... :-)
What was the FICO they gave you, and the reasons for the denial?
Either way, you now know what to fix to gain approval from them in the future.

Thier EX model was 668.
2 paid collections
AAoA , my FNFG card didnt report history for 5 months because of a buyout of HSBC credit card division, and the merger of the two.

Amex does not like collections. Best IMO not to reapply until those have dropped off or you have somehow managed to get them deleted.
