I just upgraded my 1 year old BCE to a BCP which offered a $150/$1000 spend bonus and of course the $95 AF. I have a $20K limit NFCU cash rewards and am considering an application for the new AMEX card that has no AF. But I have six already and would need to do some pruning. Also, with the high limit Cash Rewards NFCU may not give me another card. I like AMEX and have a long history with them, though I did close the PRG with the backdated 26 year history. All my accounts are relatively new, I now have no major baddies and my EQ Fico 9 score that NFCU offers jumped 50 points to 766. Other scores are TU 701 (before updating) and EXP 746. I have a lot of HP's this year and maybe should wait awhile before applying for another card. Don't really need it. Maybe I answered my own question. Thanks.
