And while it probably impacts very few, I should note that Amex Blue Cash gives 5% only on the first $400 of each gas transaction. No idea why they do this, as no such restriction on drug stores and supermarkets, where I would think it would be more common.

Sams Club MasterCard 5% gas, 3% restaurant, ------------------ $5,000 max
Hmmm.. $5000 max can be earned per year but only 5% of first $6000 of purchases per year?
That doesn't seem like a high performance product.
The Fort Knox Visa is probably the only qualified competitor for AMEX blue cash given there's no six month cap.
Sorry themanwhocan, your chart has failed to convince me. I can't compare a card that pays out 5% for only six months to AMEX blue cash.

Someone probably did some reasearch on truck drivers refueling cost.

Cute trick that one. Real cute. I'll be sure to let my father know this one.
He got a BC last year just for fuel and uses it when his Category cards hit max spend or are out of 5%.

But would he do $400+ per transaction?

He has a couple of gravel trucks running, both have two tanks.
I'm pretty sure he does $400+ occasionally.

I'm quite sure he does too. Back when I was freight brokering I would see an average of $700 for some of my truck drivers. Some upwards to $800 for refueling costs.
Sallie Mae MC also gives 2% back on utilities, so I use it to pay all of my utility bills.
