BK Friendly Credit Cards Listed

This site is great...because of this listing I applied to Wamu...instant approval $4500 CL 0% interest for 9 months.

TU score = 656

BK filed 10/2005 not even two years ago....

Yes they are but they also blacklist as well if you have a CO or included their debt as part of a BK. Merrick Bank also blacklists as well.

What's interesting is I had accounts with Providian listed in my BK and wasn't sure if I should even apply since I saw that WaMu bought them, or merged with them. I took a chance and It was a shock. I tried some of the others, also, Carnival & US Airways, thru Juniper, but was told the following:

We received your application for the Carnival Sea Miles card and are reviewing the information provided. It may take up to 10 days and we will contact you for additional information, if necessary.

We received your application for the US Airways MasterCard® and are reviewing the information provided. It may take up to 10 days and we will contact you for additional information, if necessary.

In my past experience that means sorry charlie, credit denial.

I applied a few months ago for WAMU, about 2 months after I got approved for an HSBC Platinum with a $5000 CL. WAMU gave me $4000 CL 0% on Transfers through Aug 08 and 12.9% APR. I was around 650 EQ/EXP/TU. Chapt 7 BK in June 2002.

Since my BK, I've gotten these cards, in this order.

Orchard Bank MC $1,000 CL (Lame APR) - less than a year after BK.
CapOne MC $1,000 CL - 1 year after BK
CapOne VISA $3,000 CL - 2 years after BK
CapOne Auto Loan $29,000 @ 9.9% Feb 2006
HSBC MC $5,000 CL - This year
WAMU MC $4,000 CL - This year
Macy's No Limit "Revolving Account" whatever that means - This year

I've never had a late payment since 2002 before my BK, my main issue now is just throwing money at the cards to get UTIL down. I've seen my credit score go from 500s to 661 since joining this site. Yay!

My plan for late this year is to throw more money at my auto loan and refi it.

I've got one to add...Kay Jewelers. I was given a $6000 CL. They pulled EX and my score was around 695.

I find it oddJuniper was listed.

They were sending me the offers.

I got denied and the only reason listed was BK (2001).

Credit Scores between all three agencies at the time ranged from a 660 to a 680.

This has been at least two years ago.

Very strange. I got approved for 2 of their cards with a BK less than 2 years old and a score of 650.

I havn't heard of anyone getting denied just because of a BK until now. I would have recon'd them.
