BOA Product Change Question

I tried to do a PC from a BOA World Points MC to anything and was told by BOA analyst I would have to apply for another card. 

 

So I called back and got another analyst and she said the same thing, no PC but could apply. 

 

Is this true or should I try to call again and speak with another analyst.

 

I am not interested in applying for anything right now as I am credit gardening and looking to get rid of my underperforming cards :smileyvery-happy: and this is one of them.

Not true.

 

My wife had a Platinum Visa card that she PC'd to an Accelerated Cash Rewards card.

 

I had to call back a few times before I found someone who said that they could do it.

I had a Platinum Visa Power Rewards (originally a secured card with AF $29). I called the backdoor number last week and the person I spoke with approved my PC request to a card without an AF.
