How would this impact my AAoA if I were to go for both the BCE and the PRG in January as opposed to just applying and getting approved for the BCE? Has anyone here ever tried getting two backdated cards the same month?

This is a math question! As for the answer, it depends on the MSD of your AMEX. If the MSD would make the card "older" than your current AAoA, then adding two cards instead of one card would increase the AAoA more. As for how much more, that depends on how many accounts you have and what the ages are. The difference could be negligible in some models.

My first Amex was opened up back in June but my first credit card that I was able to get was back in September of 2013. My AAoA right now is around 6 months.
