@ttech1080 wrote:Just an FYI I had applied for a Chase Freedom Credit card. I was approved online this last Friday at $3500, they told me they pulled Equifax which for me according to score watch through myFICO is a 688. I called today just for the fun of it to the backdoor number listed that i just heard about today. They put in a request for a credit increase and I went from $3500 to $4300. It was an additional hard pull which I was warned about several times but it was completely painless and easy to do.
Congrats!
I'm not sure if I would have used an HP for an $800 CLI, but then again, I don't know your UTIL strategy. I'm glad it was a success for you!
I think I posted on the wrong forum, rookie mistake
Congrats on your CLI!

An old approval post from 3/2014
Chase Freedom approved me for $500 with TransUnion and in Texas today. (7/24/14). I have a thin file of secured card from 2013 & One month old $300 CL Kohls card.
Couldn't approve me for any higher. didnt bother about it either. Was happy to be approved. asked me why i dont have any other Tradelines, how long i have been in US and why do you have a need for a credit card?
Have these answers ready per your situation if you recon Chase freedom with a thin file. No derogatories at all
Dont know my score with TU yet, but will let you know soon
also approved for $300 CL Capital One Platinum & $400 Shell Gas Card (not m/c visa) & $300 Credit One visa platinum
EQ on Freeze, EX with 5 July 2014 inquiries, TU with 2 in july.
Seems to me like upto $500 is about the best i m going to do until the next 6 mos so will not be applying anymore.
Look forward to applying in six months for
