Balance Transfer question

I just got a Citi card that offers 0% balance transfer and 0% APR for 12 months. I wanted to take advantage of the BT on MY BOA and Hooters card. I have 700 dollars balance on both. Do I have to close the cards if I do a BT? Does it look bad to the creditiors doing a BT? My limit on my Citi card is $5,500

Close the cards due to a BT?  No.
Now if it was a debt consolidation loan it would be a totally different story.

Re: Balance Transfer question

It will simply look as if you made the payment to pay off your other cards and have a new charge on your Citi account.  This is nowhere on your credit report that shows BTs and the OCs will not close your account because they are transferred.
