The chase amazon visa isnt a bad card. The rewards are pretty decent. I just wouldnt carry a balance on it.

The rewards are okay but like you said it's not one to carry a balance on. I prefer using my GE store card for Amazon purchases.  For the longest time I felt the need to equally spread the love between my cards whether it made financial sense or not. I just feel like I have hit a point where I feel I have a few cards that are just there for the sake of being there (Fingerhut, Cap One, and Amazon Visa). I really have no use for them.
