Balance transfer question

I have a balance of 3k on my Amex card with CL of 7k. I got an offer on Discover card with 0% on balance transfer. I was wondering if I transfer my balance, will Amex reduce my CL?

Credit line decreases aren't as common as they were a few years ago after everything went to hell, and you'll usually only get them if you have something wrong in your overall credit picture that makes you look like more of a risk than you were when you got your present CL. Dropping a balance by itself shouldn't be enough to trigger a decrease.
