Balance transfer ? (store card to Visa)

I'm hoping someone has experience with balance transfers that can help.  DW just applied and was approved for the BofA BankAmericard (the 0% interest for 15 months, no rewards or AF card).  She's had a couple of dings on her credit in the past few years but surprisingly BofA stepped up with a 7.5K starting limit.  My question is - we plan to transfer her HH Gregg card (electronics store) card balance to the new BofA.  The HH Gregg card (which is actually GECRB or Sychrony now) is just a store card that can only be used in store (it's not a MC, Visa, etc.).  Will this work okay?  Has anyone transferred a store card to a prime lender Visa/MC?  Will there be any issues or is this common practice?

Thanks so much for the help.

I sure hope so. Otherwise DW was just approved for a useless card. I didn't even think about it when she was applying. Thanks for the response racer.

I would imagine Bank of America would allow it. TBH I wouldn't call it useless card since it has 0% APR so you can carry a balance on it ( Wouldn't consider posting near max ) and a new TL which is always postive Smiley Happy

Re: Balance transfer ? (store card to Visa)

Tell them you want to BT a store card, they can either,

* DD cash to your checking account from BT (which you then use to pay off the store card)

* Send you a BT check. Use that check to pay off the store card.
