Bank initiated credit card closings

If a bank closes a credit card that has a zero balance(due to inactivity or any reason really) does that still show up as a negative on your credit report? I'm thinking probably not, but what do you guys think?

Re: Bank initiated credit card closings

It will be a positive on your report. The thing is that if you have any other balances on other cards your util% will increase because your overall CL decreases by what ever  the limit on the closed card was. Beyond that, it will be a positive tradeline on your reports for up to ten years.
