Bank of America - 3-2-1 Rewards Card

How long do I need to wait before trying to get a CLI from B of A? I like the card, but the $1K starting limit is killing me since I run a lot through this card.

I've tried Goggling, but I can't seem to find the answer to this on the forums here or anywhere else. :/

If you've used it responsibly for at least 6 months you can request a CLI. Keep in mind that a request for a CLI will consist of a HP with BofA. BofA is pretty CLI friendly and even though they may not accept your initial requested amount, but they are more than happy to work with you on a fair CLI amount.

If that is your initial limit you can request at any time. 6 months in between clis. It will be a TU hp. And aim high like $20k. They will counter. Smiley Wink

I got this card with $1100 limit, pretty much same as you. Waited for 6 months and asked for CLI online. I asked for $5000 total CL was only approved to $3300. Called recon and was approved $5000 within a second and the analyst said that you are eligible for this CL, however, their computer system does not usually allow high incresaes. Next moment I asked for a signature card and he said, "no problem".

Thanks! I'll call them in the morning and see what response I get. $1k would be fine if I didn't use it so much. Smiley Happy

I got my card in Feburary and did a cli request online in August and was approved for $5,000 and upgraded to visa signature. Did another online request this month and got approved for $9,000. Both were hp on TU.

I got a low starting limit myself but the rep said that was all they could give me right now so I guess 6 months might be the optimum time in my case. What do you think?
