I bought a car for $15k with a BoA convenience check. A CSR called and asked me specifically how I was going to pay my card balance down.
Trying to get a boa card restored was a pain staking task for me. I just was on the line for over an hour with them getting grilled and grilled and ultimately lost. I agree though that boa is a great lender for a lot of people though.
