I applied for the Chase Slate card back in December for the 0% APR for Balance transfers for 15 months and transferred a balance to that card. But now Bank of America is offering me 0% APR on Balance transfers until November 2016 or 1.99% APR until February 2017. I am thinking of moving that to the Bank of America Card that I have so this way I have until November 2016 to pay off the balance vs March 2016 with the Slate. The one thing I am wondering is Bank of America Fine with me parking around $2,000 on a CL of $10,000 until Nov 2016 or earlier? While rumor says Amex aren't keen on people using their credit cards as "Credit cards" which is why i never bothered with using it's 0% APR but I am just wondering with BoA?
I also have a $10,000 CL so the util on that card would be way less then on the Slate which has $5,000. Slate util is around 36% with that balance.
IMO, I wouldn't move it. That would incur an extra BT fee to xfr to BoA. Now, although there have been somewhat mixed experiences for carrying a BT balance for too long on BoA (see CLD), I would just leave it and focus on the paydown on Slate. 15 months should be sufficient, no?

15 months is Fine but I was just curious since they gave me the offer even with Checks. If I had to go longer my Discover been offering me 12 months 0% promo's ever since my intro 0% APR promo ended.
Longer to pay it off though would just mean less money out of pocket per month but I was just curious how good BoA is with that stuff

Ditto on this.
The BT fee of 3% on $2,000 would be $60. This buys you an extra 8 months (from March 2016 to November 2016). Is this extra time worth $60?

Right. I wouldn't push my luck with BoA though, regardless of the BT offer. CLDs have happened when you carry BTs for too long on their cards (search the forums) and I'm assuming you're going to be making only minumum payments hence the stretch? if you want to take the risk/chance go for it. I'm just giving my .02 based on what I've read/seen.

I'll be paying more then the min payments like I have been but always view the longer to pay back with no interest the better.
I am paying around $200 of if this month

Why do people say that? Have 50% util occasionally on Amex business card (hidden tradeline) and been carrying a balance on the BCE for forever (granted, I add to a payed down balance), Amex does not care.

I said Rumored... Truth or not is another story

Since coming here,I have been puzzled greatly by true purpose of a credit card. What do you mean when you say, "While rumor says Amex aren't keen on people using their credit cards as "Credit cards" " Please define for me. Thank you.
