I've searched here and on whogavemecredit.com, but I'm not finding much recent info on the Barnes & Noble MasterCard. Anyone know what their approval criteria is like, or if it's similar to the Apple card? I'd really like to apply for this card, but only once I stand a really good chance of approval. I've never had any relationship with Barclay, if that makes a difference.

B&N approval criteria is much higher than Apple Visa. In fact Apple Visa is the easiest card you can get from Barclays.

That figures. Guess I'll wait a few more months until I can get a couple of baddies off my reports. :/

Perhaps the automated approval criteria may be different, but if you are willing to call the backdoor number and speak to an underwriter for recon if you are denied -- then there is no difference in criteria for the B&N vs. Apple.
