In the next coming months I will choose my next card, I have been doing some research and would like to come to a conclusion about which company provides superior cards.
I know both Barclay and Amex are both well established companies that offer great cards. But the question remains... Which one would you choose? and why?
P.S I may need to purchase more business related equipment so a higher credit limit is what im leaning towards not necessarily rewards/points.
Just get both.
+1 just get both. Amex BCE or BCP and Barclay Sallie Mae

Don't know much about barclays other than the arrival. Amex tends to give higher credit lines although they may start you out low. A charge card may give more flexibility in terms of limit if you need to spend a lot each month but will PIF. Which card is superior depends on what you are looking for. For higher limits I would recommend amex. If your buying equipment from an office supply store for your business then I would recommend the chase business cards due to the 5x bonus on office supply stores.

I'll keep chase in mind for office supplies, and probably go with Amex first, every where I read it possible to get a CLI earlier than later.
Say I get denied for the AMEX BCP should I try to go for there lower end cards like the BCE? or should I back off completely for 6+ months
Thanks everyone!
Just so you know a chase biz card will also give 5x on cable and phone bills as well. Its an outstaning biz card, but you will need a rock solid year of credit history at least to be considered. BCP & BCE are probably going to be the same underwriting. You may want to wait until the new amex cards launch (I think next month) to see what better suits your needs. Also, maybe others can chime in about whether or not your scores are good enough for an amex revolver.
Is BCE lower end than BCP? I figured the requirements for getting the two would be pretty much the same. I haven't seen any references to what's needed for acceptance just that for both you need 'excellent' credit. I figured the BCE just catered to people that don't want to pay an AF.

This is what I always thought.

I'll research Amex revolver right now. never herd of it.
Amex revolver is not a product name. It just means an amex credit card as opposed to an amex charge card.
