I have a quick question, has anyone had a creditor closed acct reopened? They closed my extra points card about a year ago and am thinking about trying to get that one reopened. My credit has come a long way since they have closed it but the card still has a little balance on it. Anyway just pondering here I could always apply for another extra point acct i would imagine unless they dont allow two accts (even though one is closed).

Now that far out....youll have to app again. Usually a company might reopen if its been closed within 30 days..but a year? nope
You are not going to get them to re-open the card. If you want the card again you will have to app for it.
You say it still has a balance on it. Are you paying that balance off?
yes i am paying on it and paying it down, but when i went to pay down debt i started with OPEN cards first and kind of put this one on the back burner
I would continue to garden and raise those scores. After you pay that card off, you can reapply. But I don't think getting them to reopen the old one is a viable option.
