Hi guys,
I was approved for a $4,000 CL Arrival + WEMC last month and have been using it heavily, nearly maxing out my card. On Dec 31st I made a $3,700 payment but Barclay held it even though it was deducted from my bank account, so I had to call in and request to remove the hold to leave space for some large purchases. After 15 min struggling with CSR and endless hold I managed to talk to their manager who then verified the information with my bank but informed me that the hold would not be liftedcompletely until Jan 7. He suggested that he could partially lift it for me and asked for the amount I'd want to. I requested at least $2,000 available credit and he said OK. Boom, when I logged back in my account the CL has been raised to $6,000, and strangely enough the hold has also been cleared. So I happened to have a CL without asking even though they denied CL when I called in after receiving my card.
I wished I had asked for $3,000 LOL.
