So now our attention turns toward the Capital One Cash Rewards card, with 1.5% cash back (1% plus 50% yearly reward bonus) ...

The version with no annual fee, of course Smiley Wink

Or to get so many cards of different types that almost no purchase falls outside a bonus category on one of them!  I think that is more appealing to some players here...

There was another credit union that had a credit card that earned 2 percent after like two or three thousand spend. Can't recall which one though.

from what I remember, fidelity card is pretty much a no rewards card without a fidelity investment account.

I don't even think that you can apply for it without having some sort of an account with them.

You do not need a Fidelity account to apply and you still get rewards if you redeem for a cheque or deposit it into a chequing or savings account. Here is the redemption chart: https://www.managerewardsonline.fiacardservices.com/cms/published/root/dcb/images/Fid_faq_Q1.jpg. There used to be 25,000 points for a $250 cheque, but they may have gotten rid of it.

Any Fidelity account will work with any of the cards. I have the free "Cash Management" account which is really just a chequing account, and I am able to redeem rewards into that.

Wow, thats pretty good.  Open to all, and earns only $15 less than Fidelity Amex on the first $2,000 a year, and has the greater acceptance.

Um, no.

Those are the rates per month. Each month your rate drops back to 1% or 1.25% until you spend more than $2000 that particular month, and then only the amount you spend that is over $2000 will get 2% cash back.
