I called up the SM CS number to see if I was able to PC my Sallie Mae WMC. The frontline CSR said that it wasn't possible, so I asked if my account had any other offers. The CSR then transferred me to a Credit Analyst to review my account. The Credit analyst showed that I had offers to PC to either the Rewards MC or the no-AF Arrival, and each had spending bonuses. The Rewards MC had a bonus of 10,000 points for $1K of spend in 90 days. In addition, I also had a 0% APR offer until September! Needless to say, I accepted both offers.
So if you don't have any luck with a frontline CSR, definitely try to get to a credit analyst. I'm glad I did!

Congrats. I tried last week but to no avail, the front line rep said I had no offers hence was unwilling to tranfer to a CA. Im wondering if I have to "qualify" first prior to xfer or xfer then find out if I legimately qualify or not, hmmm...

Re the poiints, unless you can spend much of the $1000 in the reward categories, that's pretty much a wash with a 2% card

They generally only transfer you if they can see that an offer exists on the account. If not you'll be told they can't transfer you. No clue why they make it so difficult.
The rewards is by far not an amazing card but at least you get to keep the account history I guess.
It's likely just going to be SDed after I meet the spend bonus, although the 0% APR could come in handy. I'd rather use my Cash+ for the 2% groceries, since the other 2% categories won't be of much use for me.

After the CSR initially said I had no offers, I reiterated that I was unhappy with the upcoming change to the product and wanted to see if I had any offers to make the account useable. If a CSR won't transfer you, maybe calling the analyst backdoor number would help.

Oops...that should be 10K, not 1K!

Appreciate the more detailed path senor; I'll give it another shot tomorrow morning but failing that buh bye.
I'm anxiously awaiting my card. My Sallie Mae icon showed as Commence for one day, but then yesterday it changed to Barclay Rewards. What's wierd is that the image shows a World Mastercard logo on the web, but shows as a Visa on the app. So I'm not sure what I'll wind up with.
