I've BT'ed over $10k in multiple sessions to my Ring, without any issues, or AR/AA, since '14. Could be product tier, could be the "victims"are doing behavior that merits AA, but they "didn't do anything wrong."

Just because a few complain here, it doesn't sum up the entire customer base.

Re: Barclay balance transfer

I understand. I was reading the different threads and there are different opinions. I'm in fear because I don't think my profile is strong enough to handle any AA. I can kind of see why it works for some and not others.

Re: Barclay balance transfer

At six month point, I successfully requested a doubling the limit CLI with Barclays, while being 55% util on the card, of which was a BT.

I treat Barclay like my best card though, don't go app happy, and don't jack up my limits with soft pull CLIs on a monthly basis.

It's funny, a while back I posted a thread about action Barclays took after I used a BT, due to the hysteria on these forums surrounding using their balance transfer, and it was moved to Credit Card Approvals. Still don't understand why, I guess the moderators just aren't into fair balance.

Anyway, here's my experience of using one of their balance transfers, in Credit Card Approvals.....

I'm no mod, but I'm quite sure your thread was moved to the "approvals" because your situation wasn't an AA but a CLI and mostly all CLI's are posted in the "approvals" forum. Hope this helped you understand why your thread was moved.

I'm not going to hijack this, I made my feelings clear about what you've just said in the thread I linked to.
