Is yours one of the ones that offers the 10K bonus miles on the anniversary date? (You might have to call or message them to find out) If so that might make the $89 AF worth it. My Barclay Aviator is the only card I have that I pay AF on for precisely that reason. Food for thought :-)
With that said I know Barclays does PCs on non-cobranded cards (as I've done one) and I believe they can do your US card as well. I posted earlier about a recent experience PCing my Arrival+ to Arrival. I got it done but had to get kind of angry and escalate to a supervisor before they'd do it.
Honestly best way to find out is to give them a call, be prepared with exactly which card you want to PC to. Let us know how it goes!
