The Platinum Preferred MasterCard by American Heritage Federal Credit Union charges 4.99% APR for a 6 month introductory period on balance transfers and new purchases also with no balance transfer fee. The 4.99% APR continues on existing balances up to 24 months after the grace period.

If you have a large debt or multiple debts that you can pay off within 24 months, American Heritage may be a better solution than Valor because you can avoid balance transfer fees and pay down the principal debt faster for 24 months. The ideal situation would be to use Chase Slate and/or American Heritage first and then roll any remaining balance to Valor with the 5.99% rate. Visa Premier Cash Credit Card by Valor Credit Union. 5.99% APR for the entire life of your transferred balance with no transfer fee.

The easiest and cheapest way to become eligible for a Valor Credit Union membership is by joining the American Consumer Counsel (ACC). It’s open to anyone that’s made a major consumer product purchase, from apparel to medical services. And Valor Credit Union offers a promotional code that will waive the application fee for the ACC.

Re: Barclay ring 8% or NASA 7.9% ?

you guys beat me to it if you're a good customer all banks offer 0% offers occasionally the trick is to stagger everything around so they come up more than twice a year

If you get approved for the barclay ring you qualify for any number of their cards and they offer great transfers all the time

any of those soft pull to join and soft pull to apply using the same soft pull when you join ? (NASA Federal Credit Union does)  i dont look too much into those ''as low as'' i look into those that offer a flate rate lifetime on balance transfers like Barclay RING 8% lifetime rate on the balance transfer.

Re: Barclay ring 8% or NASA 7.9% ?

Also consider: starting CLs on NASA tend to me much higher than on Ring. May be a factor for you if you're concerned about UTL on individual cards.
