Congrats on the Mac! I'm hoping for one soon.
It does make a diff if you have another Barclay's card because they look at overall "possible loss" should you default. So, you may have reached the max they're willing to extend to you. They offered to move CLs around between my 2 Barclay's cards, too, referrring to my combined CL w/them.
Hope you get the 6% from Amex.

AFAIK when I talked to a rep. before about the Apple financing its year round you just need to call in and request it beforehand. That may be wrong but that's what the rep said.
I've been told this as well.
Whoa! I had no clue about this! I'm going to try this next year.

Congrats on the MBP! I love my Mac and am so thankful that I learned about the Barclays financing on this site.
