I have been eyeing the William Sonoma card since i frequent that store alot. Problem is i have the Arrival already so afraid to be shot down for 2nd card.

This is actually in the T&Cs of some of their cards, I think Barclays Rewards says it has to be used at least once every three months.

I saw it when I applied for the rewards card they have. Of course a lot of people don't bother to read the terms and then you have threads like this.

But threads like this are very helpful for when I'm deciding what card to app for next! Barclays isn't tempting atm unless I decide to buy an imac and get their 0% financing deals. But that's very unlikely to happen as tempting the new imac may be.

I especially like the ultra-fine print in their T&C's that reads:

"Dont poke the Barclay bear or we will eat you."

I do have better cards that's why I haven't used it in 3 months LOL. Maybe I will keep it and just use it once a month on gas. I can go 1 month with out filling up my  Chevrolet HHR. Hehehe

I don't have any of their cards b/c just what I've read about them since I joined this forum back in Aug. is enough to make me stay away from them. Who wants to get a CC just so the issuer can find a dumb excuse to take it away?

Setup a small charge (like Netflix) on it.  Then setup a payment through your bank to push it through a week later.  That way you keep your zero balance reporting and you use the card every month.
