Barclay's Question...

DH has a Barclay's Rewards Card, 0% for 12 months.  Almost at the end of the 12 months (February), will be a zero balance at that time.

He applied for a Barclay's (Frontier) Card and was declined.  Reason:  Sufficient credit with Barclay's.

Should he 'cancel' the Barclay's card after the balance is paid off and apply again with Frontier?  Just looking for a free trip to Utah.  Thank you!!!!

Re: Barclay's Question...

no. no reason to do that. it appears they don't think you've been with barclays long enough so cancelling it wouldn't help.

Re: Barclay's Question...

You can call the back door # and ask them to PC part of the existing CL on the Rewards card to the new card that you want. That has worked for me in the past.

Re: Barclay's Question...

first try to recon the denial and keep both cards.   then move the limit from BRM to the new card (if desired) if approved.
