Barclay did this to me I called and complained fiercely. They put my credit limit back. I have since laid off the balance and in no longer use the card due to then pulling that bs.

Thanks Max! The portolio department isnt open until tomorow. When I call, do you have any words of wisdom or tips that you used in order to get them to reinstate the limit? My balance is $1100. Should I offer to pay a couple hundred dollars when I talk to them. Any other strategies?

why did you ask for your credit limit back if you aren't going to use it? just to say you won?

Actually, the decrease in credit limit lowered my credit score by 20 points and im in the middle of purchasing a house. If the lender sees this drop in score they might not approve the loan. Thats why!
